Peacock Solar Garden Lights

Summer has started and with that, people are spending time working in their yards and in their gardens. For peacock lovers, one way to add a decorative touch to your outdoor area is to install peacock solar garden lights. They will look beautiful during the day and add soft lighting at night. In addition, they don’t require power cords or complex installation, and they are energy efficient.

Surprisingly, there are many solar peacock lights to choose from. So, I picked out a few that I thought were interesting to share with you.

Solar Peacock with Spinning Flowers Garden Stake by Exhart

I thought that this peacock garden ornament was unique. It combines a garden stake with the spinner concept. This garden stake features little purple flowers that spin, and at night solar-powered lights from within each flower glow.  It measures 33.5 in. high.

Peacock Garden Friends Hanging Solar Lantern by New Creative

What I like about this item is that it is a hanging lantern but you don’t have to hang it if you don’t want to. You can purchase a few and line a walkway with it in your front yard or backyard. You can also get some of those shepherd hooks and put a few along your fence. I think the colors on this lantern are so vibrant that it would look beautiful whether it was lit or not. This hanging lantern by New Creative measures 3.7”W x 4.75”H x 6”L and weighs in at a little over 2 lbs.  It requires a AAA battery and will automatically turn on at dusk once it is set to “on.” It is made of both metal and glass. This would make a beautiful accent to any outdoor space.

Solar Peacock Metal Sculpture by Bits and Pieces

This beautiful peacock metal sculpture is 22”H x 13”W x 9.5”D and weighs in at a little over 2 lbs. It comes with an AA solar rechargeable battery and features a solar powered blue LED light that is encapsulated by a blue sphere. The acrylic accents in the tail catch and reflect the light from the body. Made of polyresin and metal. I picked this peacock sculpture because I thought it looked unique because of the blue-lit globe in the body and how it will reflect nicely off of the blue acrylic pieces in the tail.  Even without the lights, I think this is an attractive item for a yard or garden.

Solar Peacock Wind Spinner by Bits and Pieces

This peacock solar spinner by Bit and Pieces is quite interesting as it has a globe that charges during the day and emits color-changing LED light at night. The spinner part is about 2 feet in diameter, and the entire spinner stands 62.5 inches high with a 10” fork to ensure that it remains securely in the ground.  There is a glass globe in the middle that charges throughout the day and comes on in the evening. It uses a rechargeable AAA battery, which is included. What I like about this spinner is the beautiful feather design and that each side spins independently. I also like the fact that light from the globe in the center changes color.

After looking at the reviews for this item, you may be taking a chance by making a purchase. You see lots of people who love it and have no problems, but there are people who had issues with it arriving broken or having it stop working after a while. At first, I wasn’t sure if I should include it or not, but every time I look at the images for it, I just think it looks so lovely. So, I decided to include it in this post, but I also wanted people to be aware that it seems like quite a few people had some problems. So, I will leave the decision up to you.

Peacock Metal Yard Art Decor with Solar Lights by Kircust

This elegant item is constructed of layers of textured metal sections covered with weather-resistant paint. It measures 17”W x 8”D x 19”H and weighs a little over 4 lbs. The solar light, hidden inside the peacock body, charges during the day and automatically turns on in the evening. The large feet and thick metal legs give this garden sculpture added stability. This would be a great addition to your garden and would be a great gift for someone you love.

Battery-operated Blue Metal Art Peacock Garden Stake by Comfy Hour

I thought that I would throw this one in.  All the other products I talked about so far are solar powered. This one, however, is NOT solar powered but runs on 3 AAA batteries, so it will require you to turn it on and off. On the positive side, you won’t have to worry about it not getting enough sunlight in order to work.  It is made mostly of metal, is handcrafted and stands about 16” tall.

Important things to keep in mind when using solar yard lights

• Remember to place these solar decorations in an area where they have sunlight for at least 4 to 12 hours. Try to place it where it can receive direct sunlight. Watch out for areas that are under the shadows of houses, bushes, or trees as the brightness of the light can depend on the amount of sunlight that it receives.

• The panels must be cleaned periodically to allow them to produce the maximum amount of energy needed to run the lights at night.

• Remember to switch the solar lights on. There is usually an on/off switch that needs to be set to on.

• For new solar decor, sometimes there is a pull-tab that needs to be removed. This pull-tab preserves the battery power until the item is purchased.

• If your solar lights are not working, you may want to try switching them off and allowing them to charge for 72 hours in order to get a full charge. Many solar lights will still charge even if they are not turned on. Then, switch them on again to see if they will work.
